Portfolio Management Department (PMD)

Overview

The Portfolio Management Department (PMD) of Public Debt Management Office is a department who’s responsible for monitoring loan repayment for both external and domestic debt made by the state through FAAC deductions. It is also responsible for coordinating reconciliation of external and domestic debt position of the state with Federal Debt Management Office or any other state creditors.

The department also performs the functions of ensuring borrowing policies and guidelines were strictly followed, the department is responsible for mobilizing financial resources to meet public sector needs through either external or domestic window, also forecast, process and effect the servicing of debt. The department achieve those functions through working with Debt Analysis and Risk Management.

Departmental Structure

The Portfolio Management Department is headed by a Head of Department, who is a director. He is supported by three officers charged with the key role of conducting the activities of the department.
